That clearly was the case Monday night as Indiana's reserves sparked the Bellwethers to a 122- 113 palm over Milwaukee that handed a happy homecoming for Haliburton and stopped the Bucks' 15- game Fiber Forum win band. 

Haliburton's stellar performance included 26 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds, steering Indiana to victory over Giannis Antetokounmpo's near triple-double. The Bellwethers outscored the Bucks 70- 16 in bench points. 

“ We have got a lot of guys who can contribute, ” said Haliburton, who grew up about 90 long hauls north of Milwaukee in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. “ That is the stylish part about our platoon. On certain evenings, the starting lineup finds its rhythm. Nights like tonight, where we come out laggardly, our bench has to come by and kind of wake the game up. 

Benedict Maturing contributed 25 points and achieved a career-high with 13 rebounds for Indiana, while Isaiah Jackson delivered an impressive performance with 18 points and nine rebounds. McConnell, also coming off the bench, showcased his skills with 16 points and nine assists. 

They helped the Bellwethers win on a night when they shot just 5 of 35 from 3- point range. 

“ I suppose we kind of hang our chapeau on getting a lot of 3's over, ” McConnell said. “ When we make a lot of them, we are enough tough to beat. But when we do not make them, it's generally hard for us to win. I cock our cap to this group. We just set up a way and acclimated to our cold- firing night and got it done. 

Antetokounmpo recorded an impressive 30 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 assists, marking his 38th career triple-double and the third for this season. The two- time MVP is comprising46.3 points,13.5 rebounds and4.8 assists in four meetings with Indiana this season, but the Bucks are 1- 3 in those games. 

They'll face off again Wednesday in Indiana. 

"We need to find a solution," remarked Antetokounmpo. You just noway know. You might see them in the playoffs. "We'll be facing them again in just two days. Ultimately, this experience will make us better," commented the team. It makes us better. We have got to go watch the videotapes, figure out what they do well against us and try to stop it. And if we can not stop it, we'll presumably lose again. 

Brook Lopez and Kris Middleton contributed 21 points each for the Bucks. Damian Lillard struggled with 13 points, shooting 3 of 16 overall and 1 of 9 from 3-point range.

The Bellwethers traced by 15 in the third quarter before rallying to take a 90- 89 lead with 1012 left on a Jackson handbasket that limited a 19- 5 run. The game saw back-and-forth action until McConnell took charge, scoring six points in an 8-0 run that secured a 109-101 lead for Indiana with 3:59 remaining.

After Middleton hit a 3- pointer to end the run, Haliburton responded with two straight minidresses to make it 113- 104. 

The Bucks scored five straight to cut the lead to 113- 109, but Haliburton drove into the lane for a three- point play with 1:20 left. 

That enabled Indiana to keep the upper hand in this series, though Haliburton is not ready to label it a contest. 

That is a platoon that is contended for a crown for multiple times, ” Haliburton said. “ We are on the up- and- up, but we have not been there yet. Much respect for them as a collective unit. I do not suppose I can really call it a contest yet. But we are going to contend no matter who it's against, and we play these guys a lot during the time. "We're prepared for the next encounter with them," expressed the team. 

After the Bellwethers won their first two meetings with the Bucks — including an In- Season event semifinal triumph — Antetokounmpo set a ballot single- game record by scoring 64 points in a 140- 125 palm over Indiana on Dec. 13. 

 

The brigades had a skirmish in a hallway leading to the Bellwethers  locker room after that Dec. 13 game in a disagreement over the game ball. 

This is a game that everybody was prepared for and everybody was ready for, ” Haliburton said. “ I suppose again their words were we were not ready for them physically( after the last tourney). I suppose we were ready moment. 

Indiana was without Bruce Brown for the fifth consecutive game due to a bone bruise in his right knee, and Andrew Embark played only eight minutes before exiting with a sore reverse. The Bucks were missing MarJon Beauchamp due to a non-COVID-19 illness.
